Music Magazine Front Cover Drafts

My first draft is simply the magazine title alongside the main image that I am going to use for my front cover. The background is white fading into black around the outside; this focuses the attention onto my magazine without overpowering the items on the page. I have edited my image giving it a higher contrast level and giving it a black ‘glow’. This allows it to blend in with the front cover so that the image doesn’t look out of place. In the bottom right hand corner I have added a line reading “Images Courtesy of RH LMT Productions” this doesn’t stand out, however it gives the magazine a more professional feel to it.
In the second draft I have included some text alongside my main image, which introduces the main theme of the magazine. The font stating the name “Cate” has a red rim to it, tying it into the colour theme of the magazine. I have also included a barcode at the bottom of the front cover to make it look more professionalThe second draft includes more detail into the contents of the magazine; I have also included several black and red lines next to her name to draw the reader’s focus towards it and to break it up from the rest of the front cover.
