Indie double page spread 2

This is another double page spread from indie magazine NME. Clearly the article is about Lily Allen, due to the picture of her that dominates the right-hand side of the spread. She is looking directly at the reader and standing in a pose that demands attention, showing she is a powerful female individual. The page break is clear, however the image and the quote cross over it, joining the article together seamlessly. The left-hand side of the spread is almost entirely made up of a quote from the text, this takes the roll of the title, indicating that this article is an interview of some sort. Lily Allen's name is printed in a bold red colour in the text underneath this, which contrastes against the white background and the rest of the black text, suggesting that the article is focused on her and her only. The main block of text is layed out in four columns making it look like a lighter amount of text and making it seem less daunting to read. The background is a clean plain white, making the quote and the main image stand out and allowing the readers attention to be drawn towards the spread.
